Those rumored Q1 layoffs at AOL aren’t rumors any longer.  Four German offices are being closed, and everyone in Spain and Sweden is out of a job.

You might remember it as AOL.  Valleywag has details here about the impending “nuclear” layoffs at AOL, including outsourcing to India.  (And no, I’m not spelling it like the logo.) Here’s CEO Tim Armstrong doing his very best 007 impression.  

AOL Aol filed a document with the SEC Tuesday night and it says 2,300 people are about to be history.  Nice timing there, Timmy.

Here it is, in several versions.  (Sort of like on the Chicago albums, where the logo stays the same but in different variations.)  Om is not impressed.  Key word in his review?  “Lame.”

To be fair, they actually want 2,500 employees to take a voluntary hike.   Just in time for the holidays.
