Take this brother, it will serve you well ...
The Wall Street Journal has done a damn fine story about my good friend Big Bucks Burnett, the man behind such exquisitely absurd labor of love ventures like Edstock , the smaller scaled ED-A-GO-GO and later on managing and producing the larger than life inimitable Tiny Tim. About twenty years ago, he brought his Fourteen Records venture to Greenville Ave and single handedly created the eight track tape collectors market, buying and selling not one but two eight track copies mint condition of The Sex PistolsĀ “Never Mind The Bollocks” inside of a fortnight for one hundred dollars each. This love of very first truly portable music format has now turned into an art by creating The Eight Track Museum, a physical manifestation of all things big bulky and musical. His other caper as of late: a latter day movement to appreciate Lou Reed’s art drone extravaganza Metal Machine Music. Yep, he’s got that on eight track, too. Much love, amigo! Namaste.
