The New York Times has an interesting article on five tech themes to look for this year.  The first item they mention is mobile applications, which makes sense.  It is all..about..mobility.  (Apple has a tablet coming out in 25 days- have you heard of it?) Everything is smaller, lighter, faster, and more powerful.  This article basically says the iPhone can already smoke the computing system of the Apollo 11 space flight. Rock on, Cupertino dudes, rock on.
