If this whole stinkin’ Google vs China flap was the Revolutionary War, China would be Great Britain, ‘cos they’re the ones with manpower, muscle, money and have been calling the shots and bullying everyone doing business with them, Bill Gates and Steve Ballmer would be the Loyalists, who say hey, they’ve been good to us and it’s the price you pay to do business and Google and other companies tired of being trampled on would be the Revolutionists, who may decide to not only pull out of doing business with China until they allow free speech without retribution, but may fire some kind of volley back at China, because they’ve been violated, too.

Still, I don’t picture Schmidt, Brin and Page as George Washington, John Adams or Thomas Jefferson.

And where is Apple in all this?
