In South Florida last Tuesday, Peggy Bourland got an email from her husband at 4:51pm ET.  Her husband, Air Force Major Ken Bourland, had just arrived in Haiti and was at the Hotel Montana near Port-au-Prince, getting ready to take a disaster preparedness course.

Ten minutes later, the city and hotel was leveled.
