Well maybe not, but here’s the story. Penny and John Alexander live in Dadeville, Alabama, y’all. Seems that Dadeville is two exits past nowhere. They don’t live in an area serviced by AT&T’s network, so more than half their calls get routed through another company’s network. The resulting roaming charges are costing AT&T a lot of money. So the telecom sent the Alexanders a letter saying they’d help them go to another carrier, or close their account without penalty. If they don’t do either of those options, roaming is history after January 4.
