Forgot to mention this in the previous post — but in our phone call today Randall was like, “Who do you think you are? Freaking Gandhi? With your little round glasses and your vegetarian diet and your stupid protest? You think this Operation Chokehold is like the Salt March to Dandi?”

I told him I would be flattered if people compared me to Gandhi, who is one of my personal heroes and, yes, the inspiration for my eyewear. As for the comparison to the Salt March to Dandi, in which Gandhi and his followers intentionally broke the laws of India in an act of civil disobedience, I asked him if he considered Operation Chokehold to be illegal. He’s like, “I don’t know if it’s illegal, but it’s definitely stupid. Think about it, dickhead. What are you going to accomplish? And how will you ever even know if it worked?”

I said, As far as I’m concerned, it has already worked. Peace be with you, Randall.
