Microsoft fanboy Joe Wilcox says the Borg should take a page from our playbook when it comes to family pack pricing on operating systems. Says Joe: “Something else different about Apple’s strategy compared with Microsoft’s: Trust. Apple uses no activation or validation processes. Apple’s anti-piracy mechanism is trust.” Then he relates how his frigtarded Windows system recently declared his version of Office to be counterfeit and shut him down; eventually it got straightened out but it was still a pain in the ass. Says Joe: “Microsoft’s approach is presumption of guilt. Apple’s approach presumes customers will be honest.”
Funny how that works eh? We make better, more reliable software. We charge less. And we don’t treat you like a criminal. And we’re gaining share. Wow. Who would have guessed? Much love to Carl for the tip.
