Mozilla confirms infected extensions slipped by them

Mozilla says that a pair of Firefox extensions somehow slipped by them, causing up to 4,600 users to become infected. The extensions “Sothink Web Video Downloader 4.0” and all versions of “Master Filer” were infected by Trojan horses designed to take over Windows PCs. Just one more reason to get a Mac. More here.

Firefox 3.6 is out

The new version of Firefox is out. Web Worker Daily’s Simon Mackie says no way is he switching from Chrome.  I agree, and for precisely the same reason.  Speed, baby, speed. (I’ll leave it to Lastangelman to make the requisite Mitchell Baker references.)
