Dan Lyons, a relatively unknown tech writer for Newsweek, is writing a pilot for a new comedy series on Silicon Valley, called “iCON.” It’s being created for the entertainment and streaming movie channel EPIX. Larry Charles, best known as a writer for Seinfeld, will direct. I wonder if the star will wear a black turtleneck? More here.
The show’s lead charcter, Tom Rhodes, is a composite of (Steve) Jobs and other Silicon Valley titans, and the comedy is described as a savage satire, a study of ego, power and greed.
